Istituto Comprensivo di Ciminna Don Rizzo, was founded in the 1998/99 school year, following the Decree of the Sicilian Region of the Reorganization Plan of the school network, a decree that aggregates the nursery school, Primary School and the Middle school of the three municipalities of Ciminna, Baucina and Ventimiglia di Sicilia. The building of the Middle School, located in via Trieste n. 25, is spread over two floors divided into classrooms, laboratories, secretarial offices and a library. The structure includes a great hall for conferences and theatrical activities and a gym with an adjacent changing room.
The Primary School of Ciminna, located in Piazza A. De Gasperi, is a separate structure and houses the four sections of the nursery school. It is spread over two floors divided into classrooms, laboratories, teachers’ room and canteen. Outside there is an outdoor recreational space and an equipped gym
The Institute IIS “G. D’alessandro” – Ciminna hosts a detached section of the High School “G. D’Alessandro” of Bagheria, a cultural stronghold and point of reference for the entire community. The Institute offers a complex curricular and extracurricular planning aimed at creating a positive climate and active collaboration between students, teachers and families.
