Ciminna boasts a long and complex history and has cultural and natural resources that can contribute to improving the social and economic conditions of the population, stemming the abandonment and standardization of the city neighborhoods.

Through the Ecomuseum Ciminna “tra Sacro e Natura”, funded by the Ministry of Culture at the Don Rizzo Institute, as leader of a partnership, through the URBAN CULTURE FUTURE PLAN, urban enhancement and regeneration activities have been carried out through the creation of cultural and creative activities.

Responding to the need to recognize oneself in one’s own territory with the prospect of orienting its development, the aim of the project is to make the citizens of three neighborhoods of Ciminna (San Giovanni Battista, Mother Church and Apurchiarola) protagonists as responsible and aware actors in the construction of a community map for the creation of an Ecomuseum, capable of preserving the cultural heritage of our rural community.
