It stands in the neighborhood of the same name and takes its name from the Church of San Andrea, which existed nearby until the early 1900s. It is situated in the upper part of the town, on the outskirts, along the ancient dirt road connecting the two towns of Ciminna and Caccamo. However, the chapel was originally built under the title of the Pietà. The year of its construction is unknown; according to popular tradition, it may date back to the early decades of the 19th century.
