The feast of Sant’Antonio Abate was and is one of the most important in Ciminna. Sant’Antonio Abate is the patron saint of animals. During the feast, in the past, a very popular moment was the slaughter of cows, whose meat was distributed free of charge to the inhabitants. Today, however, it is tradition to bless all the animals in the square in front of the church.
