Every year, Gattopardo Award enlivens the summer in Ciminna with the aim of promoting and enhancing Ciminna in all its aspects and of bringing the whole world to the places of Luchino Visconti’s masterpiece “The Leopard”, also filmed in our splendid town, attracting leading personalities in the national panorama of culture, art and cinema, also with a view to encouraging film companies and directors to invest in our town to continue to be a film set. The evening is also an opportunity to reward some “Ciminnesi” who have distinguished themselves in the past and in the present, in the world of work, social, artistic and cultural.
The Award aims to become a larger annual event, transforming itself into a catalyst event for the whole territory capable of attracting names and personalities from the cinematographic field, a real business card to make Ciminna known and attract many visitors. The beautiful 2023 edition was divided into 4 evenings dedicated to cinema, as well as the new event of the First Edition of the Ciminna City Short Film Festival.
