The feast of Maria S.S. Addolorata is celebrated on the third Sunday of October each year, a feast deeply felt by the local community. The celebrations are organized by the Confraternity of Maria Addolorata founded in 1774 with the name of “Venerable Congregazione Maria Santissima Addolorata” and linked to the former church of Purgatory located in Umberto I square. The octave is celebrated in San Giovanni Battista Church with a Holy Mass. At the end of the octave the image of Maria Addolorata is brought back on pilgrimage to her chapel in Umberto I square in front of the former church of Purgatory. The feast  is accompanied by a traditional fair of agricultural tools and materials, tasting of typical products and theatrical performances.
